renewal

it's time to crawl out of my hole.
i'm going to wake up earlier.
i'm going to read more while i have the chance.
i'm going to brush up on my rusty nursing skills.
i'm going to dance.
i'm going to meet with people.
i'm going to eat healthier on my new pescetarian diet.
i'm going to serve my community.
i'm going to take long walks with my dogs.
i'm going to participate in activities around the city.
i'm going to live.

oral fixation.

i keep having these horrible dreams about my teeth where they,

(a) spontaneously crumble in my mouth like a handful of pop rocks,
(b) get spit out of my mouth one by one like bb pellets after getting knocked out of their gummy home, or
(c) turn a shade of translucent brown and become terribly disfigured.

what is going on? i'm hoping these dreams fall under the korean folk category of foreshadowing good fortune. that'd be nice.

vent

i hate people who abandon their friends.

feminine idols.

everyone is raving about how talented the contestants are this season, but i beg to differ. here are my picks for the ladies, though i really had to be gracious in my judgments to conjure them.

i dig the soul in this little girl's voice. she NEEDS to stop crying when contestants get booted though. seriously.

husky voices are always a plus for me.

if the i've-got-attitude-diva thing works for you.

a little bit raspy, a little bit rock. i like the irish.

my hats are still off to the boys though. if that little cutie david gets eliminated, then c'est fini with the idols.

idols.

with the exception of a few episodes each of seasons 2 & 3, i do what i can to avoid this show. my current living situation has stripped me of any remote control authority so the tv selections have been limited to law & order, american idol, and soon, the upcoming season of america's next top model (in nyc!).

with the american idol season 7 airing in front of me as we speak, i have no choice but to input my judgments regarding the male contestants:

this kid is by far my favorite. so innocent and so gracious. what a cutie!

anyone who can pull of queen deserves recognition. i love the look, the charisma, and the voice.

these two are my faves. 16 and 29 - the two ends of the age spectrum. female contestant review tomorrow. and then that'll be the last of my idol bandwagon riding.
