i miss the mountain weather. for three blissful hours my allergies seem to have temporarily been on a cease-fire... but now i am back in smoggy suburbia/city life and my allergies have again run-a-muck.

ok that last post was from almost two weeks ago, but it took this long to publish... stinkin blog

about a week left until i head off to london and then proceed to paris. the closer the date gets, the more i want to stay. just like me to complain about a chance of a lifetime like this.. only i'm not complaining out loud. all i can manage is silent screams from inside.

for now though, i have the pestering company of my older sister at home while my lil sis is off at yearbook camp. i thought i was lazy, but wow, i have been her man-servant for the past 3 days. tutoring is still going but thank goodness this is the last week! waking up early hasn't been all that bad though.. i've gotten to spend a lot of time with the parents in the mornings. 10 bucks says i'll be homesick within the first week i'm in europe. i'm so very grateful for the opportunity to go, but i just feel guilty for getting to do all this stuff while my parents haven't been out of this country for nearly 20 years.

on a brighter note, i went hiking with my mom yesterday morning. actually it was with her hiking club composed of lots of other korean ppl. waking up at the crack of dawn wasn't easy, but the weather was nice on our way up and it was quite the scene when 20 or so middle age to old 1st generation-ers plus a loner college kid were jumping up and down to some "gung-ho" music at the top of the trail. that is their weekly routine to hike up, do a pseudo work-out, make their way back down, and mingle to some breakfast and coffee. i couldn't help giggling at all the cute folks. it was a good time.

oh yes, i went to beverly center with my sisters a few days ago and apparently i have a powerful aura that radiate to strangers... at least that's what this strange woman told me when she stopped me in attempts to read my fortune. maybe that'll come in handy to some unwanted company?

hahha, did i mention i got the most "hideous" (jahndee's word) haircut of the century?? i don't remember it being pitch black in there, but heck, it must have been the way that lady cut it. i am traumatized and utterly depressed.. at least i will be for the next couple weeks until it grows back out only for me to cut it again to get it fixed.

that is all.
