KIIS FM

the question of the day on kiis fm:

Can men and women truly be friends?

caller (some hopelessly ignorant chic no less): yes i think so
DJ: NO!
caller: yes, yes they can cuz my best friend is a guy and he's better even better than a girl.
DJ: NO! well then let me tell you what's going on. one of two things is happening here - #1 either he hasn't said anything and secretly likes you (or you secretly like him); or #2 HE'S GAY.

i didn't listen long enough to hear the stupid girl's response.

BUT there are exceptions to every rule. i just think it takes a certain level of maturity and respect to exercise good judgement in this could-be sensitive issue.

SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T KNOW WHEN TO QUIT.

INSIDE OUT

thank you esther for being born (april 26th) and giving us the chance to have a relaxing night 23 years later. i like how we ravenously ate chicken wings like guys for dinner, barely touched a bag of pretzels like girls for midnight snack, and DIDN'T drink our 99 apples or fuzzy navels like grandmas for our supposed party in the hotel. still, your birthday celebrations have always been one of a kind and this was no exception. i love yah =)

it's weird how everything i've been thinking this weekend culminated in pastor jim-bob's sermon at young nak today. "the community are the eyes that see in you what you can't see for yourself." i'm one of those people who outrageously fumbles the sequence of getting what's on the inside, out. and i'm positive that my friends suffer because of it. i would love to have the kind of inner beauty that radiates in my every move - the kind that's warm, welcoming, selfless, and loving above all - i just never knew it would be such a struggle with my pride and insecurities. dear friends, be those eyes for me please?

access hollywood

some of my closest brushes with celebrities have happened at staples center. a laker game wouldn't be complete without jack nicholson yelling on the sidelines but i was also able to see sylvestor stalone (a not-so-has-been since his reality show "the contender"). after my first clippers game, though, i didn't think there would be much of a turn out but tonight at their final home game of the season i saw none other than pierce brosnan! and the TNT dunk team wasn't so bad either... so hurray for the clippers for a season comparable to their larger LA franchise counterpart and for attracting at least one big shot celeb.

p.s. now that my family has come out of the stone age and gotten hip with high-speed internet, i can grace you all with my pictures (although the following blurry ones were taken from way high in the nose bleed seats)

mr. 007 in burgundy with his wife & 2 sons. ok ok so all my pictures are of the back of his head, but it's him i promise! Posted by Hello

SWOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

jimmy fallon is my dream guy! WATCH FEVER PITCH.

i really like "off" guys. you know, those really quirky ones (insert hand motion - ask me and i'll show you) that march to the beat of their own drum.

e.g. everyone makes fun of john mayer saying he looks down syndrome when he's performing. well, i like him! and while roy and i were watching his dvd for the umpteenth time, he agreed. i believe his exact words were, "i would have se.... i would sex him up"

i guess i'm not the only one who likes them odd ones.
