a mediocre dreamer

for the first time ever since i've been working in downtown i had a smooth ride to AND from work! when i got home in a short 30 minutes at 4pm today i thought "this must surely be a good day!" and it was:

-----no traffic to work-----

serendipitous encounter with 2 french men who came to eat at our restaurant. i approached their table and noticed them hunched over the menu mumbling to each other in another language. when they told me they were french i felt this automatic rush of camaraderie (this, after having just browsed through sewon's paris pics the night before). if only my french were more readily at hand! i managed to speak to them a little though. it made me so happy and so ready to go back =)

a nice clean shower and experimenting with my hair.

a reunion with the old dbhs ladies. i mentioned before that sadie's getting married and today i received the invitation and the task of baking her WEDDING CAKE. my first official assignment! it's taste-testing and practice runs for the next 2 months. i'm sooooo excited.

i wish the lightheartedness i felt today could rub off on my dear friends who are going through hard times right now. i love you all so much and i'll keep praying.
