you know when you were a kid and come christmas time you made snowflakes in class by folding some white paper and then proceeding to cut little shapes until magically you had a symmetrical, one-of-a-kind work of art? well i always wondered when i would ever see such things in real life, but TA-DAAAAAAAAAAA!!! today was my day. i was strolling along the already frosty and white streets of paris when this burst of snow started falling as if God was sifting a box of those tiny styrofoam balls on the world. to my delight, pieces started collecting on my head and coat and i finally saw my real snowflake, fit with it's own special shape. see, the few times i've encountered snow it was gushes of wind and ice chunks blowing in my face (either on the slopes or in vienna), but today it was like in the movies where it just sorta sprinkles all over really peacefully. what a moment for loved ones to share... too bad i was alone ((-_-)) anyhow, it was nice and i'm so happy to have been a soft landing pad for that unique little snowflake.
